Position Overview
Dishwasher/Steward primary objective is to maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen by washing kitchen items, equipment, and area; removing trash; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Position Overview
Dishwasher/Steward primary objective is to maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen by washing kitchen items, equipment, and area; removing trash; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Position Responsibilities
- Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
- Load and unload dishwashing machines.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Wash pots, pans, trays, worktables, walls, refrigerators, floors, baseboards.
- Wash specific items by hand (e.g., wooden cutting boards, large pots)
- Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately.
- Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours.
- Maintain cleaning supplies (e.g., detergents) and inform the chef to place orders when necessary.
- Check the washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues.
- Remove garbage and wash bins regularly.
- Sanitize the kitchen area on a nightly basis.
- Perform any other job-related tasks as assigned.
Education/Experience
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, ability to push and pull carts and equipment.
